True Prosperity & Trust

Ever have those times when the Universe opens up and beautiful messages and lessons keep flooding in? I’m experiencing it right now, and it makes me feel so alive! My head is full of so many things I want to share. Today was a big day for me. I didn’t realize it would be when I woke up, but it proved to be so. The main ah-ha moment I want to focus on here was having the soul-deep realization of how amazingly blessed and truly prosperous I am.

The sometimes circuitous journey of stepping more and more fully into my soul’s purpose is often super exciting and at times quite nerve-wracking . Life often asks a lot of us, pushing us to learn, to grow, to become better than we were yesterday, and to move towards the fullest expression of our authentic Essence. It does so with exciting days in which beautiful blessings and wonderful confirmations abound. It also does so with really, really tough days during which we often cannot see any wisdom in the pain, any benefit of the struggle, or value in what may seem like senseless frustration.

Being human beings, we want to experience the highs and postpone the lows. Remember the nursery rhyme, “Rain, rain, go away. Please come back another day.” I am coming to recognize that acceptance and surrender are the most powerful and fastest means to learn our lessons and move through the rainy days, but I still have a long ways to go before I can practice this more consistently when life is unfolding in real-time in the most unpredictable of ways.

The one constant and HUGE blessing that has cons istently been true for me through all the up’s and down’s is that I have always had amazingly wonderful friends to turn to. They have been there when I needed comfort & support and when I wanted to rejoice & celebrate. Today, I posted a quote about how we draw sustenance from our women friends and wanted to thank some of the friends who have been there for me in different ways. I thought I’d tag a few friends who had been especially important in my journey and found myself tagging a whole tribe of incredibly loving, deep, powerful, kind, strong, inspiring women…and I still hadn’t gotten to everyone I was thinking of!

Suddenly, I was struck by how consistently I have been supported, encouraged, nurtured, comforted, and empowered by my friends (both female and male), and it hit me in the very visceral, soul-level way that ah-ha moments come that I am wealthy beyond belief and that I can trust I will always be loved and supported. True prosperity has very l ittle to do with money and everything to do with our heart connections to the people in our lives. We each are part of a tribe that we have created, and the cool thing about this tribe is that though we may be scattered all over in time and space, it’s people we have chosen to share our hearts and souls with…kindred spirits to play with on this journey.

And the coolest thing is that we can TRUST that the support and love this tribe offers will always be available, that though the tribe may change shape and form, we will always have awesome people in our lives to love us and support us. All that’s needed is for us to recognize this blessing in our lives and allow ourselves the time & space to connect to our tribe. In this fast-paced world, spending good quality time with our friends can often feel like a luxury that gets neglected in the push to meet all our responsibilities. But I am coming to realize that we need our spirit sisters like the air we bre athe. They are very much a part of our survival, and all we need to do it pick up the phone to reach out and connect to them.
